The communications and electronic industries consider the Federal
Communications Commission (FCC) General Radiotelephone
Operator's License (GROL) a benchmark of professionalism and experience.
The GROL is the former "First
and now is issued for the lifetime of the holder. It is
the highest rating given by the FCC.
Many technicians obtain the license
for the value a prospective employer places on it, as well as the promotion/advancement
opportunities and the job retention potential in the event of a company
mass layoff due to downsizing. Most applications involving air wave transmissions,

Our GROL course includes Elements
1 and 3. Element 1 covers basic radio law and operating
procedures that every maritime radio operator should be familiar with, and
Element 3 includes electronic
fundamentals and techniques required to repai, and maintain radio
transmitters and receivers at FCC stations in aviation,
maritime, and international fixed public radio services.
8 (Radar Endorsement) prepares you to earn your endorsement for
the installation and maintenance of radar systems.
In order to take our courses, you must be at least 18 years old and
be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language,
and have US citizenship or legal authority to work in the United States.

you may do online, then print a copy for your records, then submit
it by email. Sign the original and send it to Aviation Courses Ltd.
by fax or regular mail.
- Then REGISTER
AND PAY for
your desired program.
- After you complete your registration, we will send you a confirmation
by email, providing you with links to the online study guides and a
keycode to access our online Test Center. The Test Center provides
practice exams to help you determine your progress.
